On this I set my Hope of Healing

Oh, Healing Power of God, Father in Heaven, who gives and takes life. Who has all the power on Earth and in Heaven. I come to you in faith believing that You are good. You are able to accomplish the things that concern me. Your love doesn’t change for me in pain and out of pain, in sickness and health, in sin and shame or life and freedom, you don’t change your thoughts towards me. I’ve come to you Father, asking for your healing in so many ways. To relieve the suffering. In the darkest nights, God, you have seen me and encamped your angels about me to comfort and protect as Satan has tried to take me out, and scare me and oppress me. Your faithfulness rose with me in the morning, and you kept me as I slept. As I’ve fought discouragement and not understanding your plan and asking why you would give me desires to only leave me standing alone it seems in this world with desires unmet. What are you doing God? But you have cared for me and been my rock as I’ve laid in hospital beds crying in pain, and desperation. You have been there as i have held the hand of others in hospital beds as they draw last breaths, or battled their own pain. My prayers are no longer to be healed but for the strength to endure them. For the courage to be humbled by them. To trust that you will heal me in Your good time and it will be for others to witness and know You are alive and deserve the glory and praise. God, you heal for YOUR NAME SAKE, It is to your own glory that you will heal. I trust you with every sickness that touches my body. As Job said, though my body be destroyed, I know my Redeemer lives and unto everlasting You will reign on this Earth. 

I thank you for being my Redeemer! If I was still dead in my sins and didn’t know you, healing of disease has no power or purpose. I have been healed by the wounds of your Son on the cross. I have been healed unto Salvation of my soul! I have set my hope on this truth, God, that You are faithful to keep on delivering me from the cares of this world until you bring me home to You. You know my pain, help me bear it until relief is found. 

Thank you for my friend Walt who You healed through calling him home. I trust you with his life and the legacy of love he has left here for others. Thank you that he didn’t have to feel any pain. So often we pray for a miracle in these situations. Help us remember how temporary we are here. We are on a mission to spread the Gospel and when the work is done you bring us to Your Kingdom and our forever home with you. We can endure the days of pain and discomfort when we live with Heaven on our minds. 

Thank you God for Paul and Victoria and the testimony you have given us that has been birthed in what seems to be pain and frustrations. How you have taken an eye emergency and surgery and turned it into something so beautiful that makes you beam with delight in seeing your children find hope and encouragement and a way when a way didn’t seem to be. You answer prayers in ways we don’t anticipate. There is an impact far reaching than just ourselves. Thank you for bringing our lives together and working it all for good and your Kingdom. 

Thank you God for my children. Satan wants to take them out, he tries to tell me I can’t make a difference. But you have given them to me, and nothing can take them from me if you are the author of all their days. Thank you for letting me be apart of their life. For all those years ago calling me home from one mission field across the country to another. Thank you that they know your name, God, and allowing me to teach them to love You and Your Word and Your Church. Thank you for surrounding us all with the loving support of each other. We can’t do this life alone. 

Where there is anger, God, touch our heart.  Where there is doubt, open our eyes and mind. You will deliver us again and again, and on this I keep and build my hope knowing you hold us and love us and will not leave us. Forgive me for where I fall short. Help me remember I am forgiven. Thank you that i am not a slave to sin. Thank you for the opportunities to flee from sin, help me take them. I live with such regret and sorrow of past sins. Let it not distract me or define me or knock me off course. Forgive me when I don’t put You first and don’t give you time but fall into distractions. 

I believe you, and that all your promises will come to pass, that your healing is on the way in ways I cannot know. I believe you are coming for your Church, and I am Your child. I believe you will destroy Satan and his works. And I believe you hear this prayer and that you are praying for me. I pray this prayer in the name of Jesus who has all authority and power and strength to say yes and Amen to his glory and name. Amen.
