Lamb of God Reveal Yourself to Me
Lamb of God Reveal Yourself to Me Oh Jesus, Lamb of God, who came as THE LAMB among your sheep. Who identified with us while still being a shepherd. You have proven your faithfulness to us, and revealed your promises to us, and you fulfilled your calling as our sacrificial lamb. You painted the doorposts of our hearts with your own blood and death has left us forever. Gods wrath and judgement has passed us and we are made a part of You instead. Instead of pushing us out, you’ve pulled us in close. You tore the veil into your presence as the Lamb’s blood was poured out and we enter towards you to confess our sin shouting “Truly you are the Son of God!” at the cross. We offer up our hearts. We look to you and say, You are God, and you are living, and you are loving who sent His Son Jesus into the World not to condemn our souls to hell but to save us by your Lamb as the perfect sacrifice and offering. Your Son did not stay dead, You gave Him life again and He rose back to you in finished work that He sat down. I confess my sin of not trusting you in more than I am aware. Of not listening to your Spirit who lives in me. Forgive this chief of sinners who strays off course and forgets the assignment. I go my own way when I don’t want to. Over and over I must turn myself towards you and once again be reminded of Your truth and who you say I am. You have revealed your ways, and your truth, and yourself. Open my eyes to your law and help me follow. You have called me to follow you. You will reveal yourself to me as I trust you in my day to day life, big things and little things. I’ll trust you with what is best for my life even if it hurts. I will endure this thorn faithfully to the end. How you love us. I will look for your promises knowing that they are all fulfilled in You. I will hold to a future hope and not give up. Your Spirit in me won’t let me give up! You approve of your sheep, and you keep us in your fold. We will be faithful to you through the storms and trust you to be our guide in the night and when shadows frighten us. Our faith and hope watch and wait for you to bring us into Your Kingdom. Our eyes watch the sky in anticipation of your coming. Heaven is all around us, we touch it and experience in our Sundays gathered in Your house, we have encountered You. We find it in the friendships you have given us, when we love by your word and carry each other through darkness. We find it in our daily times of devotion to you, when your presence overwhelms us as we learn something new, or are comforted by your word. You are Heaven, Jesus. We want to see your glory face to face. Keep taking us from glory to glory here in this world, until you take us to our final glory. In Jesus’ name, the Lamb who takes our sins, Amen.
