A prayer of Fulfillment of Living Water
My Father in Heaven, You created me to need you. Every hour of every day, my breathe depends on You. You have filled my heart through the dwelling of The Holy Spirit, thank you for seeking and saving me. Thank you for leading me to refreshing waters that calm my racing heart when I feel like I’m running for my life or running from one place to another trying to get chores and errands done. When the day is done, You’re calling me back to your courts to receive renewal of strength and love and encouragement that You are everything I need in life. My comforter, my friend, faithful and true through the ages. You have given me life by Your Word. All you pour into me, I pour into others in the way I love, in the way I speak, in my actions, it all points back to You.
God, You put the thirst and hunger for righteousness in my heart, and You alone can satisfy it. When my heart is restless to be in your presence, You call me blessed and promise to fill me and invite me into Your Kingdom. When I pray to know your will and way, You lead me along still waters that don’t scare me or cause me to be anxious but calmed, knowing you are with me. You lead me into righteousness for the sake of your own name. You are known as my Shepherd, and my Master. You take responsibility for me.
You don’t remember me as my weaknesses, but as your own who fully relies on you. I trust you to cleanse me and fill me in your righteousness to heal me of my diseases, festering sores and give me life. Thank you for drinking the bitter cup of death so I wouldn’t have to. You are the life giving branch. The same branch of Mara’s bitter waters in the desert, you made sweet. You’re doing the same for me. Though the clips of the cutting seem bitter, and the sorrows of this life discourage, you are preparing a blessing to my soul and the fruit will be sweet in time. You don’t cut to kill, the branch will live because the vine lives! You live Jesus and you offer life to all who want to drink of your fountain.
We come desperate to be filled. We come dead to be made alive. Give us your life eternal.
In Jesus name, Amen.
